Teaching Methods in Islamic Education

Abstract

The right learning method influences the success of the teaching and learning process. The selection of appropriate methods can improve student understanding and time efficiency, and various kinds of learning methods can be applied in the teaching and learning process. This article discusses learning methods in Islamic education such as lecture, discussion, question and answer, habituation, simulation, and assignment. Each method has advantages and disadvantages that need to be considered in the context of learning. Methods that involve active interaction, such as discussion and question and answer, tend to be more effective in increasing student engagement and understanding of the material. Students actively participating in the learning process will better understand and remember information. Learning methods in Islamic education have evolved, reflecting changes in the educational needs of both teachers and students. This shows the importance of adaptation in teaching methods to meet the demands of a more technology-oriented age. In addition, this article also examines the development of teaching methods over time, as well as their relevance in the context of modern education. As such, this paper aims to provide an in-depth insight into teaching practices that can enhance the quality of Islamic education and create a more meaningful learning experience for students.
